GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. QUIET TIME is 12:00 sharp. Please reduce your noise levels significantly after midnight. Security will respond to noise calls.
2. DOMESTIC WATER is the water running to your cottages. All water used for consumption should be boiled for a minimum of 7 minutes. There is ALWAYS a BOIL WATER ADVISORY in effect.
1. Report all water leaks at the stand pipes to administration or maintenance.
2. Secure your own water supply lines and connections and do not remove the backflow protector from your stand pipe because it is a mandatory safety device.
3. Motor homes, campers and trailers are not allowed to hook onto our domestic water supply. You can fill with a hose, but do not connect at all.
4. Refrain from watering non-essential areas, i.e. roads, driveways, scrub brush.
5. Do keep a charged water hose by your fire pit, when in use.
6. Water your grass areas only once per week and your gardens and plants no more than twice per week for no more than two hours.
a. Full season owners – even cottage numbers on Tuesday's, odd on Thursday's.
b. Weekend owners – even cottage numbers on Saturday's, odd on Sunday's.
Our water is precious and limited - PLEASE help by following the watering plan.
3. FIRE PROTECTION is everyone’s business and responsibility. We have the extreme capability of a devastating disaster if we are careless with fire. Open fires are not allowed unless contained within a closed fire pit or burning barrel, with a grated cover and a charged hose standing close by. NEVER leave your fire unattended or in the hands of children.
Keep your fires down to a dull roar. The burning of leaves, brush and/or undercover materials is strictly prohibited as embers from these materials tend to float up and land on the surrounding dry grass and brush and are certainly capable of starting a fire. The fire ban is always in effect during the off season and when dry conditions dictate during the season.
Fire protection is provided to Hidden Valley Golf Resort through the full time and professional Siksika Fire Department, with the Cluny Volunteer Fire Department in reserve.
4. SPEED LIMIT: Hidden Valley Golf Resort is a family place with kids of all ages at play. Maximum speed throughout the Resort is 30 km/hr. Our roads are public roads and are subject to R.C.M.P. enforcing all traffic laws. Please drive safely.
5. DOMESTIC GARBAGE is your regular household garbage that is usually found under the sink in the kitchen and/or bathroom. This garbage goes in the blue, domestic garbage bins located by the tennis courts. The blue bins are emptied every Friday, so if a bin is full, please put it in the next empty one and do not leave your garbage on the ground.
NON-DOMESTIC GARBAGE are those items that are placed in garbage bags, such as grass clippings, leaves and minor yard trash. You are welcome to bring this garbage to the same area and place your non-domestic garbage in the signed area provided. This area will accept branches and small tree limbs that are tightly bound with a rope or twine, no more than 3-4 feet in length and under 25 lbs. (12 kg). EVERYTHING ELSE IS TRASH and is not allowed in the garbage area. You must arrange to have it removed from the Resort yourself or contact trash removers to do it for you. Examples are cardboard boxes, construction materials, renovation leftovers, counter tops, shingles, drain pipes, bathtubs, siding, fence materials, stoves, fridges, water tanks, toilets, sinks, old BBQ’s and tanks, furniture, mattresses, telephones, TV’s, record players, radios, batteries, car parts, cart parts, and tires etc.
6. PET POLICY deals directly with the increasing stray and loose dogs on the Resort. All dogs must be on a leash when not confined in your cottage. Soon, we will be installing a dog trap and will be armed with dog catcher’s loops. If a stray dog (defined as a dog without a collar, not recognized or identifiable to a cottage, one that is too aggressive and cannot be easily identified by its collar) is captured, it will be removed from the Resort. This also applies to your guest’s dogs; so make them aware of our dog policy. If the dog is identified to a cottage, the cottage owner with be notified to retrieve their pet and receive their first written warning (as per the Pet Dog Policy). For a second offence, a $100.00 Penalty will be assessed; a third offence, a $200.00 Penalty will be assessed; the fourth offence, the dog must be removed (by the owner) from the Resort. Excessive and/or unruly barking will also result in this same procedure. Remember to ALWAYS pick up after your pets.
7. BUILDING PERMITS are required for any new construction of accessory structure(s), new parking or lot access, new additions to and/or any alterations to all existing structures on your sub leased lot. Permit applications are available from the administration office and when approved will carry a fee of $25.00.
